IIC Technologies participated in the K-GEO Festa 2025, a premier annual event that convenes global experts advancing marine spatial information and shaping the future of digital hydroStrengthening Global Collaborationgraphy.
Strengthening Global Collaboration
At the International Seminar on Marine Spatial Information, hosted by the Korean Hydrographic Society (KHS), Korea Hydrographic and Research Association (KHRA), and the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA), Nuno Rodrigo Silva, Senior Hydrographic Consultant at IIC Technologies, delivered a presentation titled “Navigating Your S-100 World.”
The session highlighted IIC Technologies’ contribution to the international transition towards the S-100 framework, including:
• Over 100 global projects supporting S-100 implementation and data standardization.
• The use of Nautilus Cloud, IIC’s enterprise-grade environment for S-100 data production, validation, and management.
• The role of IIC Academy in building technical capacity through IBSC-recognized programs, the S-5B Hydrographic Surveying Program and S-8B Marine Geospatial Information Program both designed to train professionals in the evolving field of digital hydrography.

Empowering the Next Generation of Hydrographers
Students from IIC Academy’s S-8B Marine Geospatial Information Program in Korea also attended the event, with representatives from Nigeria and South Africa presenting initiatives from their respective Hydrographic Offices. Their participation underscored IIC Academy’s ongoing commitment to strengthening global hydrographic capability and supporting national charting authorities in building digital competencies aligned with IHO standards.

Advancing the Future of Digital Navigation
As the hydrographic community continues to adopt the S-100 framework, IIC Technologies remains committed to working alongside partners such as KHOA to promote collaboration, interoperability, and innovation in marine geospatial data.
This engagement at K-GEO Festa reaffirms IIC’s leadership in advancing global hydrospatial standards and enabling the maritime sector’s transition to the next generation of e-Navigation.
