IIC Technologies turned up in strength to participate in the Second Geospatial Information World Congress in Hyderabad, India 10-14 October 2022.
In addition to providing a booth and delegates, IIC contributed to the Congress theme of “Geo-Enabling the Global Village: No One Should be Left Behind” by the provision of presentations. The first was delivered by David Crossman and Ed Kuwalek on Enabling Pacific Island Geospatial Data to Aid Capacity, Economy and Resilience, utilising the Niue Government Environmental Information Management System (EIMS) as a case study. The second presentation was also delivered by Ed as part of a panel discussion on “Operational Framework for Integrated Marine Geospatial Information for Sustainable Oceans, Seas and Coastal Zones.”
This interesting and informative Congress addressed numerous global issues that need the attention of Geospatial data, professionals, standards and techniques. The Congress was generously hosted by the Government of India with addresses provided by the Prime Minister of India and numerous global geospatial leaders.
The opportunity was also taken to host many of IIC’s friends and colleagues for a mid-week reception.
