ISG FELLOW Award to Maj Gen Dr. R Siva Kumar (Retd), President, IIC Technologies

IIC Technologies is proud to announce that, the Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG), a premier society promoting the application of Geomatics in India, has conferred the honour of ISG FELLOW to Major Gen Dr. R Siva Kumar (Retd), President, IIC Technologies. Based on his outstanding contributions in promoting the use of Geoinformatics in India, ISG has nominated him as FELLOW of ISG.

The Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG), was established in 1993 by a group of professionals from government, academia, and industry with the primary objective of promoting technology and application of Geomatics, so that it becomes an important part of the information management and decision making processes.

With close to four decades in the geospatial sector, Dr. Siva Kumar’s life time contributions are unparalleled towards establishing global standards and policy formulation in the geospatial domain. His efforts have resulted in defining the National Map Policy 2005, Remote Sensing Data Policy 2011 and National Data Sharing and Accessibility policy 2012. As President IIC Technologies, Dr. Siva Kumar provides, leadership and direction to the organizations business development function.
